How to change the oil filter on an ‘01 Camry without spilling oil?

On the 2001 Camry, the oil filter sits near the front of the engine on a downward angle. Every time I unscrew the filter, a bunch of oil just spills out on the front of the engine (because of the downward angle).

Is there a way to fully drain the oil filter or unscrew this so I don’t have the unnecessary clean up?
