My Toyota Camry is a automatic 4 cylinder and the button that you push in on the shift knob will not go in sometimes when trying to go from park. It usually takes about 15 minutes while the car is running before the shift button will allow me to move into gear. I’m thinking maybe the shift cable is loose. Please help. The dealer is trying to charge almost $500 to fix this but I don’t think it’s something that serious.
